6.10.22 – Sagittarius Full Moon

Happy Friday, darlings! I hope that June has been treating you well. In preparation for this blog post, I read a few older posts. As I’ve explained, my life tends to move in cycles. Each one of these cycles focuses on something different. I might purge old emotional patterns that aren’t serving me. It might be an attachment to ideas or people. This month, I feel as if I’m working on both. My self-concept work has truly been tested.

Sagittarius Full Moon

On Tuesday, June 14th, the full moon will be in the sign of Sagittarius. This will be a super moon, appearing to be larger in size. This happens when the moon reaches its peak when it’s closest to the Earth. It should be bright, pending any cloud cover. Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign; represented by The Archer. This energy appreciates positivity and loves to have fun. Ruled by Jupiter, a Sagittarius will seek out new ideas and experiences. Jupiter is currently in Aries, another fire sign. You may be looking to charge ahead in your goals. Under the influence of this full moon, you may feel the need to release the things that hold you back. With Sagittarius, view your plans through a lens of curiosity and an open mind. Are there areas where you’ve been overly attached? Are you too hard on yourself? Give yourself some grace and patience. That will ripple out into your socialization with others.

Last month, we had an eclipse happening during our full moon. If you didn’t do your manifestation ritual, it’s understandable. You should be clear to release and do your Full Moon ritual. These are some things you can do to observe this phase in your practice.

  • Clean your space. Donate any items that can still be used.
  • If you’re able, do a smoke cleanse in your house. Open a few windows and turn on fans to circulate the air. Metaphysical shops sell sprays that aid in this process if you can’t use candles or incense.
  • Take a bath or a shower. Salt baths and scrubs are a great way to reset. Take time to pamper yourself. Do things that make you feel comfortable. You are the most significant part of this process, after all.
  • Ground yourself through meditation. If silent meditations aren’t for you, research guided meditations or frequencies. Practice breathing exercises. If you’re outside, connect to nature. Imagine the energy from the earth flowing into your body and back down into the ground. Take this time to check in with yourself. How is your mental health? What have you been stressed about? What things do you still need to release? What do you have to be grateful for? If you journal, take time to write down how you felt. Reflect on how you felt during this time last month.
  • Set up your space. If you use crystals, pick ones that will be most helpful to your purpose. They all have specific properties and uses.
  • Consider your manifestations. What is it that you’re calling in? What could you release to make room for these experiences? Make a list of things you wish to remove and burn/destroy the list.
  • Charge your crystals. Make moon water. Reset your tarot decks to the original order.
  • Take care of yourself. What can ground your energy? What makes you feel human? Treating yourself to something special may be in order.

Keep in mind that Jupiter and Sagittarius are both associated with the ninth house. This is the House of Spirituality. The things you’re doing to expand your mindset and cultivate more knowledge may happen quickly during this time. If you’re anything like me, you just need to let go and learn through experience. I am a Sagittarius, after all.
