My Darlings, how has your week been? Since the 2/22/22 portal, I’ve experienced so much positive energy. I’ve been very focused on routine, assuring my needs are being met. It’s so easy to get distracted by outside influences, so time for yourself is essential. I’ve noticed that I absorb a lot of energy from others. While that’s not always bad, boundaries must be drawn for anything that drains energy. If your mind is always racing around, it’s harder to hear your inner guidance system. The tarot card I’m exploring today encourages inner exploration and balance.

II – The High Priestess

The second tarot card in the major arcana is The High Priestess. This card comes after The Magician, who manifests their will into their reality. In most cases, the card’s artwork features a divine feminine. You will generally see her sitting between two pillars. The pillars represent the powers of duality; light and dark, masculine and feminine. She balances her own knowledge with spiritual wisdom. The High Priestess guards the mysteries of the subconscious mind. She also guards herself against outside energy by wearing a hooded robe. There will usually be a crescent moon present on the card as well.

When you pull this card in one of your readings, it’s time to go inward. Your own inner knowledge is crucial to solving the problem. In some way, you already know the answer. Balancing your energy will help you understand much better. Once aligned to your higher self, your decisions and actions will be authentic. When practiced, this process becomes second nature. You spend less time second-guessing your first instincts. You may not know the outcome of your situation, but this will prepare you for the best possibility. Let your inner Sherlock or Nancy Drew out.

When this card appears reversed, your inner voice may be blocked. You may need to step away from the situation until later. Self-care, self-love, and calm any anxious energy. You may not have all of the information you need. There is a possibility of secrecy happening. These secrets could be happening from an outside source, leading you down the wrong path. You could also be giving yourself unhelpful advice. Repressed emotions can also cause blockages to intuition. Journal it out, go for a run, go destroy something in a safe environment… whatever gets out that pent-up feeling.
